“I’ve admired the outstanding work Hill Labs has been doing for years, especially during my earlier career in Hydrology and Environmental Monitoring. So, when the opportunity arose to lead the Asbestos business at Hill Labs, I jumped at it! 

I absolutely love the people and culture here! The team is incredibly passionate about what we do, and it’s truly rewarding to see the positive impact we make for New Zealand while working closely with our customers. It genuinely feels like a big family where everyone cares about each other. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I felt at home. 

Recently, we’ve expanded our asbestos team in Christchurch with the acquisition of Terra Scientific. This move has allowed us to bring over nearly all of Terra Scientific’s customer base and the majority of their analysts. It’s fantastic to have this new team on board, enhancing our capacity to deliver the exceptional service we take pride in. 

I’m passionate about delivering results to our customers and making a real difference in people’s lives. Asbestos remains the leading workplace killer in New Zealand, and in Australia, it causes three times as many deaths each year as the national road toll.The work my team does is crucial in protecting workers and homeowners from asbestos exposure in buildings, soil, and air. 

In my spare time, my amazing partner, Laura, and I are busy with our two boys, ages 4 and 7. We love spending time on our launch in Picton, fishing in the Marlborough Sounds whenever possible. We also keep busy with the kids’ rugby, and I enjoy getting into the hills to go hunting, skiing, or riding my motorbike and 4WD. We try to go overseas once a year, and this year, we’re heading to Bali!”
